Agar Malwa (MP), A 17-year-old boy allegedly raped a five-year-old girl living in his neighborhood in Madhya Pradesh's Agar Malwa district, police said.
An official said on Monday that the incident took place on Sunday evening in a village under Soyet Kala police station area.
Soyet Kala police station in-charge Yashwant Rao Gaikwad said the girl was playing outside her house when the boy lured her to his house and raped her.
Later in the night, after she developed stomach pain, the girl informed her family members about the incident, who lodged a police complaint, he said.
The officer said that the accused is absconding since the incident.
He said that the medical examination of the girl has confirmed the crime.
The officer said a case has been registered against the minor boy under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
He said that the incident is being investigated.
