New Delhi, Union Home Ministry has announced that the validity of all FCRA registered NGOs, whose renewal application is pending, will be extended till September 30 or the date of disposal of renewal application.

According to a notification, the Home Ministry has also extended the validity of those Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) registered NGOs whose five-year validity period is expiring between July 1 and September 30 and who have applied for renewal before expiry. Have applied for or will apply for. The validity period of five years will be extended till September 30 or the date of disposal of the renewal application, whichever is earlier.

“The validity of the registration certificates of such entities whose validity was extended till 30.06.2024 as per public notice dated 28.03.2024 and whose renewal application is pending, will be extended till 30.09.2024 or till the date of disposal of the renewal application. , whichever is earlier,” the notification said.

MHA advised all FCRA registered associations to note that in the event of rejection of the application for renewal of the certificate of registration, the validity of the certificate will be deemed to have ended on the date of rejection of the application for renewal and the association will not be entitled to receive foreign contribution or Will not be eligible to utilize the foreign contribution received.
