Thiruvananthapuram, Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Assembly V D Satheesan on Thursday alleged a political conspiracy behind the disappearance of the memory car from the CCTV cameras of a KSRTC bus, which, according to him, is a significant indicator of the ongoing rift between Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya there is evidence. Rajendran is a bus driver.

Satheesan said it was suspected that the memory card was deliberately destroyed, adding that he feared he would lose his case if the footage surfaced.

"It is mysterious that the memory card of the CCTV camera inside the bus went missing during the altercation between the Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram and the KSRT driver. The memory card went missing amid allegations that the Mayor's husband and MLA Sachin Dev was forced to board the bus. Done.Passengers will have to get down,” the Congress leader alleged in a statement.

"It should also be investigated whether there is any political conspiracy behind the disappearance of the memory card, which will be an important evidence in the case," he said.

His statement came a day after a team of police personnel from Cantonment station, which checked the superfast bus parked at the KSRTC depot here, failed to retrieve the memory card.

Last Saturday night, the mayor and his family had a heated argument with the KSRTC bus driver after the vehicle was allegedly stopped at Palaya Junction.

Rajendran claimed that the KSRTC bus was not blocked, but CCTV visuals broadcast by new channels showed his personal car parked across the zebra line on the road. She stated that when the bus stopped at the re-signal area, she spoke to the driver to protest against his alleged sexual advances towards her and her sister-in-law.

The driver, who was booked in connection with the incident, has denied the allegations.

Satheesan questioned the police for not registering a case against the mayor and his co-passengers for stopping the passenger bus based on the driver's complaint.

“It is clear in the CCTV footage that the Mayor and his team stopped the bus. Why did the police, who register cases even when buses are stopped under protest by people raising their issues, not register a case against Mayo and him."Team? Is Kerala Police afraid of registering a case against the Mayor and MLA?". He asked.

The Leader of Opposition also wanted to know if there was any direction from the top that the case should not be registered.

"It is unacceptable that no case has been registered against the Mayor and MLA for violation of law. Registering a case based on the complaint of one party and dismissing the complaint of the other party is discriminatory. The police and KSRTC management have done so Have done.“There were serious failures in this incident,” Satheesa alleged.
