Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], BSP supremo Mayawati once again gave a big responsibility to nephew Akash Anand, making him her sole successor along with the responsibility of national coordinator.

BSP chief Mayawati has once again made nephew Akash Anand her successor and has also handed over the responsibility of National Coordinator. Akash will now look after the work of the party across the country. Mayawati announced this in the BSP National Executive meeting held today. Akash was also present in the meeting where he touched Mayawati's feet. He patted his back and blessed him.

On May 7, in the midst of the Lok Sabha elections, Mayawati had removed Akash from all the important posts of the party, calling him immature, but after the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, Mayawati called the first meeting of the National Executive on Sunday, which lasted for 3 hours.

Mayawati has also said that she will contest all the upcoming elections including by-elections. This means that now the party will field its candidates in the by-elections for 10 seats of the UP Assembly.

On Friday, June 21, BSP released the list of star campaigners for the by-elections on two seats in Uttarakhand. In this, Akash's name was at number two. There were speculations then that Mayawati's resentment towards Akash had gone away. By giving all the posts back to Akash, Mayawati made it clear that Akash will now handle the party in future.
