It was first introduced in India in 2014 by Maruti Suzuki. The gear shift and clutch controls in these self-driving cars are automated electronically without any driver intervention. This automatic transmission has an Intelligent Shift Control Actuator that is operated by the transmission electronic controller unit. This system intelligently assesses dynamic driving conditions and adjusts the automatic gear shift to enhance driving performance. Since both of these components are mounted in the transmission unit of the car, I ensure synchronized control of the clutch and smooth gear shifts. This, in turn, helps the AGS to deliver better performance and increase fuel efficiency of the vehicle.By lowering prices, Maruti Suzuki aims to attract more customers for its AG models, potentially increasing sales in a competitive market.
