New Delhi: A married couple has been arrested for allegedly duping people in the name of getting government jobs. Police gave this information on Wednesday.

He said that both the accused were allegedly changing their address and identity for the last six months to avoid arrest.

Police said that the accused have been identified as Vikas Tyagi (35) and his wife Amita Tyagi, both residents of Ghaziabad.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) said, "On May 10, North District Police personnel received a tip-off about a declared criminal couple involved in a case of fraud registered at Lakshmi Nagar police station."

The officer further said that they were hiding inside a rented flat in Govind Puram, Ghaziabad and a raid was conducted and both were nabbed.

"The two told the police that they were cheating people in the name of providing them government jobs to candidates preparing for government job exams," the DCP said.
