Darbhanga (Bihar), A middle-aged woman from Bihar has been calling her son after hearing about the fire that broke out in a building in Kuwait, which took the lives of 49 people, mostly Indians.

She has failed to get any information about the whereabouts of her son, who was scheduled to get married next month.

Madina Khatoon said that her elder son Kalu Khan was living in that building, and was about to return home for a wedding.

"I spoke to him on phone around 11 pm on Tuesday night. He told me that he will come to Darbhanga on July 5 as his marriage is scheduled for next month," he told media persons.

Khatoon, a resident of Naina Ghat area of ​​Darbhanga district of Bihar, said that her son has been living in Kuwait for many years.

According to villagers, Khan was working as a skilled laborer in Kuwait.

When she got information that the fire had broken out in the same building where her son lived, she panicked and tried to contact him.

Kalu Khan's inconsolable mother said, "But he is not answering my calls. We have no information about his whereabouts."

He said he had no idea what actually happened to his son.

"He is my eldest son. We tried to contact the concerned authorities in this regard, but all our efforts remained in vain. We have sent his photographs to the embassy officials. Now, we are waiting for updates. We Are also in touch with the district." Administration,” she said.

“I am praying to God that I get some good news about my son,” Khatoon said crying.

A fire broke out in a building in the southern city of Mangaf, killing 49 foreign workers, including about 40 Indians, while 50 others were injured, according to Kuwaiti authorities.
