New Delhi, Shares of FMCG major Marico Ltd climbed nearly 10 per cent on Tuesday after the company reported a 4.9 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ending March 2024.

The stock closed at Rs 583.35 with a gain of 9.85 per cent on BSE. During the day it increased by 10.45 percent to Rs 586.55.

On NSE it increased by 9.76 percent to Rs 582.10 per piece.

The market capitalization (mcap) of the company increased by Rs 6,768.16 crore to Rs 75,491.43 crore.

In terms of volume, 15.48 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and 350.41 lakh shares on NSE during the day.

Domestic FMCG major Marico Ltd on Monday reported 4.9 per cent rise in March quarter net profit at Rs 320 crore.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 305 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.

Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 2,278 crore, compared to Rs 2,240 crore in the year-ago period.

The company said total expenses in the fourth quarter declined to Rs 1,894 crore compared to Rs 1,907 crore a year ago.

In Q4 FY24, underlying volume growth in domestic business stood at 3 per cent. The company recorded constant currency growth of 10 percent in international business.
