Mumbai: Several hundred people were nabbed following Mumbai Police's "Operation All Out" on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, an official said.

The official said that under the operation, teams under the guidance of 13 Deputy Commissioners of Police, 41 ACPs and senior inspectors of police stations raided gambling dens, illicit liquor shops, hotels and lodges etc. in five police areas of the metropolis. ,

"Eight fugitives were caught, 53 were held, against whom non-bailable warrants were issued. Action was taken against 49 for illegal weapons, while two were arrested with firearms. A total of 62 people were arrested," he said. "Caught on the city limits." Said.

Five people were booked under the NDPS Act, he said, adding that raids were conducted at 24 gambling and liquor joints, leading to the arrest of 30 people.

He said, "Action was taken against 154 hawkers. During road blockade (blockade) at 111 places, we checked 7233 vehicles, took action against 2440 persons under the Motor Vehicles Act. We booked 77 for drunk driving. Took action against motorists."
