Bhopal: Olympian Manu Bhaker and Paris quota winner Vijayveer Sidhu won the fourth and final Olympic Selection Trials (OST) in the 25m pistol event here on Tuesday.

At the MP State Shooting Academy, Manu, coached by renowned pistol shooter Jaspal Rana, shot a world record-equalling 42 in the women's 25m pistol OST T final, while Vijayveer shot 34 in the men's 25m rapid-fire pistol OST final. Scored. T4 will be victorious.

Manu showed complete dominance in the trials, winning two and finishing second in the remaining two.

She was the only shooter among the five selected who did not score below 580 even once in the qualification round.

Abhidanya Patil (35) finished second, while Simranpreet Kaur Brar (30) secured the final podium point. Isha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan finished fourth and fifth respectively.

In the men's rapid fire, Vijayveer took the lead after the second five-shot series and held it till the eighth and final series, registering his first outright win in the trials.

Anish Bhanwala stood second with 30 while Adarsh ​​Singh stood third with 25. Anku Goyal (20) and Bhavesh Shekhawat (18) secured minor positions.

However, Anish was the most successful of the five in this event, winning two trials and coming second in the other two.

Bhavesh had won the second trial. Vijayveer, on the other hand, had finished second twice in the three previous trials.

Qualification rounds will be held on Wednesday in the men's and women's 50m rifle positions events, in which local hopes Aishwarya Tomar and Aashi Chouksey will participate.
