New Delhi: Manu Bhaker excelled in the women's 25m pistol qualification to win the men's 25m rapid-fire pistol Olympic Selection (OST) Trial 1, beating the world record score by a good margin, here on Saturday.

Olympian Manu Dr Karni Singh topped the women's 25m pistol qualification at the shooting range.

Manu was absolutely excellent in the women's final, scoring 4,4,5,5,5,5,4,5,5 and 5 in 10 series of five rapid-fire shots.

When Isha Singh was out for the first time on 23 after the seventh series, Manu was already on 32, six ahead of Rhythm Sangwan and Abhidanya, who were tied at that stage.

However, Isha will still be ahead in the women's 25m pistol OST thanks to her 585 points in qualifying, which helped her top the field of five women on Friday.

Manu will be at number two along with Simranpreet, Abhidanya and Rith.

Anish also showed his class in the men's RFP with 33 hits, which was six ahead of Vijayveer Sidhu, who was in second place. Adarsh ​​Singh finished third with 23 hits.
