Re-polling at 11 polling stations in Imphal, Interior Manipur Lok Sabha constituency recorded 37.54 per cent voting till 11 am, the official said on Monday.

The decision for fresh polling was taken following a directive from the Election Commission, which declared polling conducted at these stations on April 19 invalid.

"Voters were standing in queues since morning to exercise their franchise at all 1 polling stations which were affected by riot-like situation on Friday. No disturbances or violence have been reported so far on Monday," an election official said.

Re-polling started at 7 am.

Incidents of firing, threats, destruction of EVMs at some polling stations and allegations of booth capturing were reported from conflict-hit Manipur, where 72 per cent voting was recorded in two Lok Sabha constituencies, Inner Manipur and Outer Manipur, on Friday.
