Bhubaneswar, Manipal Hospitals on Wednesday announced the successful BRAIN integration of 400-bed AMRI Hospital in Bhubaneswar, which was acquired in September 2023.

Partha Das, Chief People Officer, Manipal Hospitals, said, starting from May 22, these facilities will have service excellence in line with the standards of Manipal Hospitals, which will mark an important milestone in the healthcare transformation in Eastern India.

He said, this integration marks a new era of healthcare excellence in the region, Manipal Hospitals is committed to upgrade the facility at par with the metro facilities. Bhubaneswar Hospital Director Shaktimaya Mohapatra said that with this integration, Manipal Hospitals has expanded its footprint in Odisha.

The director informed that the new management plans to upgrade the Bhubaneswar unit from a tertiary to a quaternary care hospital, provide comprehensive cancer care services and a fully operational liver transplant clinic.

In addition, a state-of-the-art second catheterization laboratory will also be set up within the hospital.

Manipal Hospitals has acquired 84 per cent stake in AMRI Hospitals Ltd, bringing three hospitals in Kolkata and one in Bhubaneswar under administrative control.
