New Delhi: A 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly recording a video of a minor girl while she was bathing in Delhi's Kapashera area. Police gave this information on Monday.

The accused was identified as Anup Kumar, a native of Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. He told that he worked as a gardener in a farmhouse in south-west Delhi.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West) Rohit Meena, the 15-year-old girl lodged a complaint saying she was taking bath at her residence in south-west Delhi's Salapur Kheda on July 7 when she realized someone's presence at the vent .

As soon as the girl raised an alarm, Kumar tried to run away but the minor's family members and some neighbors caught him. A team from Kapsehra police station reached the spot and arrested the suspect, the DCP said.

“When his mobile phone was examined, some objectionable videos were found,” Meena said.

Police said the accused has been booked under Section 77 of the Indian Justice Code (viewing, capturing or transmitting private photographs of a woman without her consent) and Section 12 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
