"Congress had promised an assistance of Rs 8,500 per month to poor women, and now Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar has copied our policy by announcing Rs 1,500 per month to women. But in view of high inflation, this amount What will be the price,” Patole demanded.

While a nominal amount has been promised to women in the state, there is no mention of unemployed youth in the state, and government vacancies are still not being filled.

He has 'shown promises' to farmers across a large swath of the state's 12 districts, he indicated, but without specifying how much money will be allocated to which department.

"This is the first budget in the history of the state that does not have provision for department-wise amounts like agriculture, irrigation, social justice, housing. Instead, it is full of hollow announcements aimed at misleading people and raising doubts," Patole said. "To what extent will they be able to implement the promises."

Even though Mahayuti has promised to waive off electricity bills of farmers, there is no clarity on the dues, although Congress and Maha Vikas Aghadi had demanded complete loan waiver for farmers on the lines of Telangana.

Expressing doubts over various aspects of the budget, Patole said Maharashtra has accumulated a debt mountain of Rs 7 lakh crore, and ranks sixth, below Gujarat, in per capita income and exports.

"The financial condition of the state is pathetic, but the Mahayuti government is painting a false, rosy picture. The Center has already looted the people by imposing taxes on gas, petrol, diesel in the last 10 years, and now just before the state elections "They are giving way to nominal tax cuts on fuel," Patole criticized.
