Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) won the Mumbai Graduate and Mumbai Teacher constituencies while the BJP emerged victorious from the Konkan Graduate seat in the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections, the results of which were declared on Monday.

Voting for Mumbai Graduate, Konkan Graduate, Mumbai Teacher and Nashik Teacher constituencies was held on June 26, in which 1,43,297 voters exercised their franchise, of which 1,32,071 votes were considered valid.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab on Monday won the Maharashtra Legislative Council election from Mumbai graduates constituency by defeating BJP's Kiran Shelar.

Parab got 44,784 votes while Shelar got 18,772 votes.

Of the total votes cast, 64,222 were considered valid and the winning quota was 32,112 votes. In the first preference voting, Parab received 44,784 votes and was declared elected.

In Konkan Graduate constituency, Niranjan Davkhare of Bharatiya Janata Party defeated Ramesh Keer of Congress.

Dawkhare received 100,719 votes against Kiir's 28,585.

Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate JM Abhyankar won from Mumbai Teachers seat. He received 4,083 votes out of 11,598 valid votes.
