An unconventional approach to his campaign for Jalgaon Lok Sabha constituency Of the 14 candidates contesting for the Jalgaon seat, Sharma is preferring to campaign alone, crossing roads and streets on his bike and on foot along the way. Visiting pedestrians in person, ensuring they operate as normal. If he wins the elections, he will raise issues like unemployment, road connectivity and farmers' problems. Despite being an independent candidate, Sharma is not untouched by electoral contests. He claims that he got around 1,108 votes in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and 8,140 votes in 2019.Encouraged by the previous performance, Sharma expressed confidence of winning the upcoming general elections. Independent MP candidate Lalit is contesting from Jalgaon Lok Sabha seat. Lalit, among the 14 candidates from the Lok Sabha constituency, said, "I am a common man and campaign in a normal manner. I campaign alone on bikes, buses and trains and meet people on foot on the roads and streets. I want To campaign for himself and work as an activist of common people to solve the issues like unemployment, road connectivity and farmers' problems in Jalgaon constituency.He further said that this was his third election as a candidate and he had earlier contested in 2014. The roads are damaged and I will contest from the assembly seats and win. I am a courier delivery person and am choosing to save, I want to work as a servant," he said. The candidate also accused other political parties of not letting me run in this election. Money was offered to take over, but I refused to accept the offer.''
