Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and winning candidate from Vidisha seat Shivraj Singh Chauhan met CM Mohan Yadav and state Cabinet Minister Prahlad Singh Patel at the CM House on Wednesday.

During the meeting, both were seen feeding sweets to each other.

CM Yadav wrote on Twitter, "After BJP's historic victory in the Lok Sabha elections, today I had a courtesy meeting with former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Chauhan at his residence and congratulated him on BJP winning all 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh." '

The CM further wrote, "On this occasion, I also congratulated him (Chouhan) for his unprecedented victory from Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency."

Meanwhile, in a post on Twitter, Chouhan said, "I met Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav at his residence today and congratulated him on BJP's massive victory on all 29 seats in the state."

Minister of State Prahlad Patel also congratulated Shivraj Singh Chauhan on winning Vidisha seat by a huge margin.

Minister of State Prahlad Patel said in a post on Twitter, "I visited former Chief Minister Chouhan at his residence in Bhopal to congratulate him on his big and historic victory from Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency. His experience will be useful for the development of Madhya Pradesh.,

According to the Election Commission of India, Chauhan won the Vidisha seat in the general elections 2024 on Tuesday by a record margin of 8,21,408 votes.

The BJP leader got a huge mandate of 11,16,460 votes, while Congress's Pratap Bhanu Sharma stood second and managed to get 2,95,052 votes.

Apart from this, Bharatiya Janata Party has made a clean sweep by winning all 29 seats in the state.

Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh were held in the first four phases out of a total of seven phases. The first phase of voting was held on 19 April, the second phase of voting was held on 26 April, the third phase of voting was held on 7 May and the fourth phase of voting was concluded on 13 May.

Voting was held on six seats each in the first phase and second phase in the state, on nine parliamentary seats in the third phase and on eight seats in the fourth and final phase.With 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, Madhya Pradesh ranks sixth among all states in terms of representation in the lower house. Of these, 10 seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, while the remaining 19 seats are unreserved.
