Bhopal, Adopting the Gujarat model for ease of doing business, the Madhya Pradesh Transport Department has decided to replace the existing check posts on the state's borders with 45 check posts.

Officials said the new arrangement will come into effect from Monday and mobile units will be in place to manage border transit until the checkpoints are established.

Officials said the border security posts of the state transport department in 26 districts will work on the Gujarat pattern.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday directed officials of border districts to cooperate in the smooth operation of the new system.

After attending the meeting, officials said that necessary arrangements have been made for the new system, which will increase the revenue of the transport department and help in reducing complaints regarding border posts.

He said, "This is an important decision under the ease of doing business as initially 45 check points will be set up in place of check posts in the districts located on the state borders." He said that under this new management, 211 home guards will be deployed. Have also been deployed.
