In the meeting, CM Yadav passed several instructions including using loudspeakers at religious places as per the prescribed norms.
He asked the DGP to ensure that senior police officers conduct surprise inspections of police stations in their respective areas.
He also directed the police to identify those areas where crime graph has increased and install CCTV cameras there.
"CM Mohan Yadav has directed the officials concerned to take strict action against those found involved in illegal activities and crimes against women," the CMO said in a statement on Friday.
It is noteworthy that this was the first meeting on the law and order situation in the state after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections on March 16.
