As fans noticed after the game, 'Sky' also has a soft side. The 33-year-old made a video call to his wife Devisha, who was sitting in the stands with Mumbai cricketer Adhatrao.

Yadav jokingly told his wife that Adhatrao is his lucky charm because whenever he comes to watch Surya play, he brings a century with him. Devish also told the explosive right-handed batsman that Adhatrao had caught a six in the stands which was hit by the Mumbai Indians middle-order batsman.

It was Surya who, along with Tilak Verma, gave Mumbai Indians a much-needed win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Playing at his home ground Wankhede Stadium, Yadav's unbeaten 102 off 51 balls proved decisive in securing a comfortable seven-wicket victory.

The innings marked a significant return to form for the batsman, who returned from an injury and surgery break a few weeks ago after missing Mumbai Indians' first few matches.

His innings was a masterclass in controlled aggression, consisting of twelve fours and six maximums. This not only propelled MI to a crucial win but also boosted their morale as they eventually moved out of the bottom position on the points table and moved ahead of Gujarat Titans.
