Speaking to reporters in Hubballi on Saturday, Joshi said, “Closing the Facebook account of Shri Ram Sena is wrong. Making bomb threats is also wrong. Violence is not always right. The state government should investigate the matter.”

Earlier, while addressing the media, senior Shri Ram Sena leader Gangadhar Kulkarni said that he had received bomb threats and death threats after he launched a campaign against 'Love Jihad' by opening a helpline on May 29.

He alleged that the Army has already received more than 170 such calls and the threat calls were made through the internet.

Kulkarni alleged that the Facebook accounts and main pages of all the members of Shri Ram Sena were closed for the last two days.

“We don't know whether it was done by jihadists or by the government. This has been done by us to stop the awareness campaign on Love Jihad,” Kulkarni criticized.

"All Facebook accounts should be allowed to operate, otherwise statewide protests will be launched," Kulkarni warned.
