Khammam (Telangana) [India], Voting will be held on May 13 for all 17 seats of Telangana in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. This year, the Congress party has named Ramashayam Raghuram Reddy as its candidate, while sitting MP Nama Nageswara Rao has been nominated by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party, formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Tandra Vinod Rao. Khammam seat was dominated by Congress till 2004. However, in the three subsequent Lok Sabha elections, in 2009, the seat was won by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Yuvajana Sramika Rythu. In 2014, Congress Party (YSRCP) and in 2019, BRS won.In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Nama Nageswara Rao of BRS won the seat by securing 5,67,459 votes. Renuka Chaudhary of Congress stood second by getting 3,99,397 votes. BJP's Devaki Vasudeva Rao stood fourth with 20,488 votes. In 2014, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy of YSRCP defeated Nama Nageswara Rao of BRS by a margin of about 12,000 votes. P Srinivas Reddy got 4,21,957 votes (35.6 percent). Nageshwar Rao got 4,09,983 votes (34.66 percent). Apart from this, K. of Communist Party of India (CPI). Narayan got 1,87,653 votes and stood third.
