Criticizing sitting Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu for 'lack of work' in the area, Dhillon said, "On what basis. Are they going to ask for votes? Bittu, who recently left Congress party and joined BJP, defeated Simarjit Singh Bains of Lok Insaaf Party by 76372 votes.In 2014, he defeated Harvinder Singh Phulka of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by a margin of 19,709 votes. Congress, which is contesting the general elections alone in Punjab, has fielded Gurjit Singh Aujla from Amritsar seat and Amar Singh from Fatehgarh Sahib. , G. Mohinder Singh Sidhu from Bhatinda, Sukhpal Singh Khaira from Sangrur, Dharamveer Gandhi from Patiala. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress-led UP alliance won eight seats, while the NDA won four seats. The final phase of voting for 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab will be held on June 1.
