Chandigarh, Aam Aadmi Party candidate and Punjabi actor Karamjit Singh Anmol has declared his total assets, including residential property in Canada, at Rs 14.8 crore, according to his election affidavit.

Politically known Anmol (52) filed his nomination papers from Faridkot reserved parliamentary constituency in Faridkot district on Tuesday.

According to his affidavit, Anmol has declared his movable and immovable assets, including his wife's property, worth Rs 1.33 crore and Rs 13.55 crore respectively.

Anmol, who has worked in many hit films including 'Carry on Jatta', 'Nik Zaildar' and 'Muklava', has declared Rs 1.70 lakh cash in hand.

He has declared his total income for FY 2022-2 at Rs 39.37 lakh.

According to his affidavit, the Punjabi actor and singer owns a Toyota Fortuner worth Rs 11.96 lakh and a Mahindra Thar worth Rs 13.74 lakh.

He has gold jewelery worth Rs 2.20 lakh while his wife has gold jewelery worth Rs 25.83 lakh.

Anmol owns agricultural land in Sangrur while owns a residential property in Mohali, Sangrur.

According to his affidavit, he has also shown a residential property worth 4,99,651 Canadian dollars (Rs 3.05 crore in Indian currency) in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

He had liabilities of Rs 2.90 crore.

Anmol did his schooling from Shaheed Udham Singh Government College, Suna in 1993.

From the Faridkot reserved seat, the AAP candidate is facing off against BJP candidate Hans Raj Hans, Congress candidate Amarjeet Kaur Sahoke and Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Rajvinder Singh.
