Crime in some areas is also a matter of concern for voters in the constituency.

The constituency, which has 21,20,584 voters, is witnessing a direct contest between BJP's Harsh Malhotra and AAP and India Bloc candidate Kuldeep Kumar. Vimal Singh, a resident of Kondli, said parking and water are the major issues that the people of the area are facing. Have been.

“Parking is a major problem in the area.We do not have proper parking space here. Water supply in the area is also affected on a regular basis. Apart from this, there are no clean parks in our area where children can play.”

Singh said, “During monsoon, roads get filled with water, causing problems for commuters. Heavy traffic is also a problem near Kalyanpuri, where commuters get stuck during peak hours.Suraj Kumar, a resident of Ghazipur, said that he wants his MP to work towards providing him relief from the smell and pollution caused by the landfill site.

Kumar said, "We want relief from this landfill. The constant foul smell emanating from the site is disturbing. The water supplied also stinks at times. Nearby meat markets add to the smell and pollution.,

The East Delhi constituency has large markets like Lajpat Nagar, Laxmi Nagar Gandhi Nagar, Shahdara and Krishna Nagar, as well as residential areas like Vivek Vihar, Mayur Vihar, Mandawali, Surajmal Vihar, Preet Vihar, Trilokpuri.Federation of Lajpat Nagar Traders Kuldeep Kuma, general secretary of the association, said lack of basic facilities is a major concern for buyers in the market.

"Many women come from different parts of the city and also from neighboring towns for shopping. There are no clean toilets for them in the market. There are also some unauthorized colonies in the constituency. The issues of slum residents always remain top priorities for leaders during elections. However, no one will work for us after winning the elections. does not do." BJP candidate Harsh Malhotra recently said that if he wins the election, a mega hospital on the lines of AIIMS in the trans-Yamuna region and flats for slum dwellers will be among his top priorities. There are 11,51,211 male, 9,69,269 female and 104 third gender voters in the constituency. There are 35,104 first-time voters, 12,917 elderly and 10,165 disabled people voters in the constituency.Voting will be held on May 25 in the sixth phase on all seven Lok Sabha seats of Delhi.
