New Delhi, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Thursday criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that his role in the alleged liquor scam has put a question mark on his entire political career.

The Union Information and Broadcasting Minister was commenting on the Enforcement Directorate's chargesheet in the alleged excise duty policy scam, according to which Kejriwal "directly used" part of a Rs 100 crore "bribe" to stay in a luxury hotel in Goa.

The Union Minister said, "Kejriwal's liquor scam has raised a question mark on his political career. Congress has also joined him in this scam. Congress and AAP have formed an alliance of corrupt people to loot Delhi."

He claimed that every Delhiite is fed up with the way AAP and Kejriwal have spread "anarchy" in the national capital through their "dishonesty".

Vaishnav said, "He made big promises of removing mountains of garbage, cleaning Delhi, but did not fulfill even a single promise." “They could not ensure water supply in Delhi, but their entire focus was on liquor,” he said.

Vaishnav said Kejriwal used to claim that there was no evidence to prove bribery allegations in the excise policy scam, but the ED has placed all the evidence before the courts.
