CM Kejriwal's lawyer requested the court to hear the bail petition on Thursday.

On this, the ACJ assured that the bail plea of ​​CM Kejriwal will be heard on Friday, July 5.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday issued notice on a petition filed by CM Kejriwal challenging his arrest by the CBI. A bench of Justice Neena Bansal Krishna asked the central agency to file its reply in the case by July 17.

On June 26, CM Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI and produced in the Rouse Avenue Court. Following this, he was sent to three days' CBI custody for questioning.

Last week, after interrogating CM Kejriwal in Tihar Jail, CBI was given permission to present him in the special court.

Recently, Delhi High Court stayed the trial court's order granting bail to CM Kejriwal in the money laundering case, saying that the lower court did not appreciate the documents and arguments.

The Supreme Court had in May reserved its verdict on a plea filed by CM Kejriwal challenging his arrest and subsequent remand by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the excise policy case. In view of the general elections, the apex court had ordered his release on interim bail of 21 days.
