LOS ANGELES, "Killers of the Flower Moon" star Lily Gladstone is set to star alongside Bowen Yang in Andrew Ahn's upcoming directorial debut.
As entertainment news outlet Variety reports, the project will be a remake of Ang Lee's 1993 rom-com "The Wedding Banquet" and will also star Kelly Marie Tran, Yuh-Jung Yoon and Joan Chen.
Filming will begin in Vancouver in May and will follow the story of a couple who decide to marry for their own benefit, but things take a turn when the woman's grandmother pays a surprise visit.
Gladstone, 37, was last seen in the Martin Scorsese-directed film "Killers of the Flower Moon" alongside Leonardo Docaprio. The actor won a Golden Globe in the 'Best Actress' category for her performance. The film and Gladstone were also nominated for an Oscar.
Yang, 33, recently appeared in "Dicks: The Musical" and will next be seen in the musical fantasy "Wicked," which also stars Ariana Grande, Ethan Slater and Jonathan Bailey and is scheduled for release this year.
