Jammu, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and other prominent leaders including four former chief ministers strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, in which nine people were killed and 33 injured.

At around 6.10 pm, as soon as it left Shiv Khori temple for Katra, the bus was attacked by terrorists and the bus fell into a deep gorge.

"I strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on a bus in Reasi. My condolences to the family members of the martyred civilians. Our security forces and JKP have launched a joint operation to trace the terrorists," Lt Governor Sinha posted on Twitter. is introduced.,

Former chief ministers of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah of the National Conference (NC), Mehbooba Mufti of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Ghulam Nabi Azad of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP). Also condemned the terrorist attack.

Senior CPI(M) leader MY Tarigami said such senseless violence serves no purpose and only brings pain and devastation to the victims' families.

“Authorities are urged to provide best possible treatment to the injured,” he said.The culprits should be punished."

Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina said the attack was carried out by "cowardly Pakistani terrorists" who cannot face the Indian Army, police and paramilitary forces.

"The terrorists who committed this audacity will have to pay a heavy price for their crime," he said.

State Congress Committee President Vikar Rasool Wani also expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.6/2/2024 BHJ
