Minister of State for External Affairs Singh also visited Kuwait's Mubarak Al Kabir Hospital, where seven Indians injured in the fire incident are undergoing treatment. He inquired about their well-being and assured them of the support of the Government of India.During his visit he said he appreciated the hospital authorities, doctors and nurses for taking good care of Indians.

After reaching Kuwait, Kirti Vardhan Singh immediately reached Jaber Hospital to inquire about the well being of the Indians injured in the fire incident in Mangaf area on Wednesday. He met six injured Indians undergoing treatment in the hospital.

More than 40 Indians died and more than 50 others were injured in the fire, the Ministry of External Affairs said, adding the injured are being treated at five government hospitals in Kuwait.

Citing hospital officials, the Ministry of External Affairs reported that most of the patients admitted were stable.Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait remains in touch with the local authorities to provide relief to the people affected by the incident.
