Mothers and sisters of the state, D Shivakumar, speaking to reporters after a campaign rally, said, "I will not apologize to them, but will seek clarification from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Smriti Irani." Women in Karnataka are angry with the JD(S) leader's statement and are planning to protest against him. Kumaraswamy has said that rural women are wandering due to the guarantee schemes of the Congress government. They have insulted our mothers and sisters.The women of our state are self-respecting and they are very angry with Kumaraswamy's statement. They are planning a big protest against them and we encourage them to fight their battle within legal limits." He said, "Our government has taken five measures to improve the lives of women and make them self-reliant. Guarantee schemes have been started. Women are able to save around Rs 4,000 to 5,000 per month. And they are able to help their families and children with this savings.Kumaraswamy's statement is an insult to hardworking women.''
