"Of course, if we talk about the overall effectiveness of this meeting, of course it comes to zero," Peskov said, Xinhua news agency reported.

Peskov said many countries at the summit expressed the opinion that discussing Ukraine without Russia was pointless, adding that this sentiment was widely shared among participants.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is open to serious, concrete and productive discussions on Ukraine, the spokesman said. "We will continue to work with all countries that are willing to do so," he said.

The peace conference on Ukraine ended in Bergenstock, Switzerland on Sunday, with some attendees failing to sign a joint communiqué. Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis also mentioned in a press conference on Sunday that most of the decisions taken at this conference cannot be implemented without Russian participation.
