AHMEDABAD: Kolkata Knight Riders reached their fourth IPL final with a thumping eight-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 1 here on Tuesday.

Mitchell Starc was dismissed three times in the powerplay as KKR bowled out Sunrisers Hyderabad for 159 runs.

For SRH, Rahul Tripathi scored 55 runs in 35 balls, while Heinrich Klaas scored 32 runs in 21 balls. A 62-run partnership between Tripathi and Klaasen was the only positive in an otherwise underwhelming batting effort.

After this, KKR achieved the target in 13.4 overs thanks to the unbeaten innings of Venkatesh Iyer (51 not out) and captain Shreyas Iyer (58 not out).

SRH will get another chance to make the final when they take on the winner of the eliminator in Chennai on Friday.

Brief Score:

SRH all out for 159 in 19.3 overs (Rahul Tripathi 55; Mitchell Starc 3/34). KKR 16 for 2 in 13.4 overs (Venkatesh Iyer out for 51 runs, Shreyas Iyer out for 58 runs; Natarajan 1/22).
