Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], The Government of Kerala has honored the Malayali film professionals who shone at the Cannes Film Festival.

The cast of the Grand Prix award-winning film 'All We Imagine as Light', including Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Hridayu Haroon and Aziz Nedumangad, were recognized for their achievements.

Additionally, Santosh Sivan, who received the Pierre Angenieux Excellence in Cinematography Award, was also honoured.

Filmmaker Payal Kapadia created history on May 25 by winning the Grand Prix Award for the film 'All We Imagine as Light'.

'All We Imagine as Light' premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival on May 23 in its highly anticipated 'Competition Section'.It was the first Indian film to be screened in the main section of the festival in 30 years.

'All We Imagine as Light' is based on the life of two nurses from Kerala - Prabha (Kani Kusruti) and Anu (Divya Prabha) - who are colleagues and roommates in a hospital in Mumbai.
