Visuals shown on TV channels showed a "black magic expert" removing copper plates and a small idol from Sudhakaran's house in Kannur, while the Congress leader could also be heard speaking in the background.

When asked about this, Sudhakaran just said that it had happened some time ago and walked away.

Incidentally, it was about 18 months ago when Sudhakaran was going through a tough time both politically and healthily, a person well versed in the occult sciences told him that someone had done black magic against him.

The man then came to his home in Kannur and dug out the copper plate and other such material, which is believed to have been used to cause bad times to the victim.

What was surprising was that such material was recovered from Sudhakaran's residence in Delhi and also from his residence in the state capital.

When Sudhakaran was informed about this, he took the help of his junior party colleague and Kasaragod Lok Sabha member Rajmohan Unnithan.

Incidentally resorting to such practices with the help of those practicing black magic was very common in Kerala in earlier years, but with the spread of science, such practices are rarely seen or heard of.
