Before joining the Blasters, Fernandes played for I-League side Aizawl FC. The 25-year-old goalkeeper made his mark in her 17 appearances.

She impressed with his commanding presence in the penalty area, his strong reflexes and his striking shot-stopping ability.

Born in Goa, Fernandes began his youth and professional career with Salgaocar FC, after joining their U18 team. He represented them in the I-League U18 and Goa Professional League before moving to Churchill Brothers in 2020.

From 2020 to 2023, the talented goalkeeper played 12 games. While his raw talent and ability was evident with his performances, Aizawl FC were the first to spot the potential, eventually giving him the opportunity as the starting goalkeeper in the 2023-24 I-League season. .
