New Delhi [India], Amid the ongoing water crisis in the national capital, BJP MP from New Delhi constituency Bansuri Swaraj took aim at the Kejriwal government and claimed that the crisis had been caused by the the AAP to encourage corruption.

Speaking to ANI, Swaraj said, "It almost seems that this crisis, which is not a natural crisis, has been orchestrated by the Kejriwal government to encourage its own corruption as well as to encourage the illegal oil tanker mafia."

He added: "Delhi is in a terrible state. The entire city is thirsty and the Kejriwal government is only indulging in theatrics. Delhi Minister Atishi, instead of working on the ground and instead of taking appropriate measures, "He is now indulging in mere theatrics and is now threatening the people of Delhi with anshan (fast)."

He said the 'anshan' is nothing more than an attempt to camouflage the Kejriwal government's incompetence and inaction.

Swaraj added: "Even the Supreme Court of India came down heavily on the Kejriwal government, rebuking it for not taking any steps to curb the operations of the illegal tanker mafia in Delhi. They have also done nothing to ensure that there is no waste. of water."

Intensifying his attack on the Delhi government, Bansuri Swaraj said that the government has been in power for the last 10 years but has not improved the infrastructure of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). "It is shocking to see that the Kejriwal government has enjoyed power in Delhi for the last decade. But in the last ten years, they have not spent a single penny to do anything to improve or repair the infrastructure of the DJB. The DJB pipelines DJB "It is in a state of complete desiccation. The Kejriwal government is responsible for it."

Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, he further said, "I want to ask you where are the AAP MLAs? There are more than 60 AAP MLAs and we do not find them working on the ground. It is shocking to see that for the first time in the democratic history of Bharat, there is an elected government which, instead of controlling the situation and working on the ground, indulges in the rhetoric of the opposition party And therefore, the responsibility is "Now the . BJP workers."

Stating that the BJP is helping the people amid the water crisis, Bansuri said, "We are the responsible opposition party, we are on the ground, we are working all the time and ensuring that water tankers reach the public." , but what is the AAP doing?

The BJP MP also raised questions about the Delhi government's planning to handle the situation amid the heat wave. He said, "If the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted in March that Delhi was going to suffer a heat wave, why didn't she (Atishi) carry out any repair work on the infrastructure of the DJB? Why didn't she no action plan was drawn up?.. Why was no strategy drawn up to deal with the water crisis?

Meanwhile, amid a political tug-of-war between the BJP and the AAP over the water crisis, Atishi on Wednesday said that if Delhi does not get its "fair" share of water by June 21, it will be forced to do a 'Satyagraha'.

"Today I wrote a letter to the Prime Minister saying that 28 lakh people in Delhi are not getting water. I have asked him to help provide water at the earliest... If the people of Delhi do not get their water quota by 21st, then I will be forced to do a Satyagraha," Atishi said at a press conference.

"Due to the scorching heat, the water problem in Delhi has also increased. Nowadays, Delhiites need more water. The total water supply in Delhi is 1,050 MGD, of which 613 MGD comes from Haryana, but Haryana is not giving all part of the water to Delhi,” he further alleged.

The Delhi Minister also claimed that due to scarcity of water released from Haryana side, 28 lakh people are getting less water in Delhi.

"Haryana yesterday gave only 513 MGD water to Delhi. Due to this, Delhi is short of 100 MGD water today. Due to this, around 28 lakh people are getting less water. People of Delhi are worried. We have done all efforts to resolve this issue. We have spoken to the Haryana Chief Minister, but the Haryana BJP government is not giving Delhi its share of water," Atishi said.
