New Delhi: Tihar Jail officials on Tuesday said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was given a "low dose" of insulin after his blood sugar level rose, while AAP remarked that it was due to the blessings of Lord Hanuman.

Lord Hanuman's birthday is being celebrated as Hanuman Janmotsav on Tuesday.

According to a Tihar official, on the advice of AIIMS doctors, Kejriwal was given two units of low dose insulin on Monday evening.

His blood sugar level was found to be 217 at around 7 pm, following which the doctors attending to him in Tihar decided to give him a dose of insulin, the official said.

He said that during a video conference with the Chief Minister on April 20, AIIMS experts had advised Tihar doctors that if his sugar level went above a certain level, he could be given insulin.Delhi Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj attended an event in his constituency to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti. A person dressed as Lord Hanuman was carrying insulin vials and Bhardwaj was touring the area riding on a vehicle carrying a mace (gada). There were insulin bottles stuck on the mace.

He said, "Hanumanji has given insulin to his devotee Arvind Kejriwal. The court passed the order, the jail refused, but because of Hanumanji Kejriwal got insulin. We pray for his good health, long life and that he be released soon."

Earlier in the day, Bhardwaj alleged that officials were deliberately not giving insulin to Kejriwal.

"Today it became clear that the Chief Minister was right. He needed insulin but officials at the BJP-led Center were deliberately not treating him. Tell me BJP people! If there was no need for insulin, why are they giving it now? Giving because the whole world is cursing them,” he said in a post in Hindi on X.Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal went to the temple to offer prayers on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

She told reporters, "May Hanuman Baba give wisdom and prosperity to everyone. May Hanuman Baba remove everyone's problems and mine too. I will be back soon with Sir (Kejriwal)."

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also expressed similar views and said it was due to the blessings of Lord Hanuman that the Chief Minister was given insulin after almost 23 days of being in jail.He accused the party's national coordinator of misbehavior.

He said, "It is the blessings of Lord Hanuman that Kejriwal was given insulin after 23 days. We were saying that he needs to be given insulin, but he was given insulin just now. The people of Delhi were worried about him, but He had to struggle." Fruit,” Singh said.

Welcoming the development, Delhi Cabinet Minister Atishi said in a post on XY Hindi, "Jai Bajrang Bali! Good news received on Hanuman Jayanti. The third administration finally gave insulin to Arvind Kejriwal ji.

He said, "This is the result of the blessings of Hanuman ji and the struggle of the people of Delhi. Even in this time of struggle, the blessings of Bajrang Bal remain on all of us."
