Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters raised slogans in favor of their jailed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.

After the incident, Delhi Police detained the supporters but were released after some time.

Reacting to the incident, a DDCA official, on condition of anonymity, told IAN that politics should not come into the stadium. “Fans come and enjoy the match. I request the supporters of political parties not to use this as a platform for their politics.

AAP also posted its video on Twitter, saying, "Answer to jail by vote, slogan raised during DC vs RR IPL match at Feroz Shah Kotla ground against conspiracy to arrest CM Kejriwal."

Another DDCA official echoed his views and said, “This is unacceptable.” Everyone likes cricket. Political parties should keep such stunts out of the stadium. They only create problems for other fans who pay and come with their families to enjoy the evening.”
