The rituals began on Sunday evening with the worship of Lord Bhairavnath at Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath, the winter seat of Panch Kedar.
, Madmaheshwar, Tunganath, Rudranath, Kalpanat (five revered temples of Lord Shiva). The worship of Lord Bhairavnath continued till late night.

On Monday, the Panchmukhi Doli Yatra carrying the Panchmukhi Bhogmurti of Baba Kedarnath will depart from Ukhimath and reach Kedarnath Dham in the evening on May 9, passing through various stops.

From Omkareshwar temple of Ukhimath, the yatra will reach Vishwanath temple of Guptkashi. On May 7, the yatra will leave from Guptkashi for the second stop Fata. From Fata it will go to Gaurikund

8. Next day, Panchmukhi Doli Yatra from Gaurikund will reach Kedarnath Dham in the evening.

The doors of Kedarnath Dham will be opened for devotees on May 10 at 7 am.
