Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's brother and Congress MP DK Suresh is trailing by a margin of 51,869 votes in the Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday.

Renowned cardiologist and son-in-law of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, BJP's Dr CN Manjunath is leading in the constituency.

As per the agreement between alliance partners BJP and JD(S), Manjunath contested the elections on the saffron party ticket.

According to the latest data available with the Election Commission, Suresh, who was the only Congress candidate to win the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka, has received 99,669 votes so far, while Manjunath has received 1,51,538 votes.
