Kanker (Chhattisgarh) [India], A day after the encounter broke out in Kanker, Chhattisgarh, the area was searched and a huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.
Talking about the anti-Naxal operation in Kanker, BSF DIG VM Bala said, “BSF camped here to help the police… It was a very good operation. Both our teams, DRG and BSF, have successfully executed the operation.'' He further said that the injured BSF jawan is out of danger and he is undergoing treatment in Raipur. Meanwhile, former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, who is also the Congress candidate in the Lok Sabha elections, was the first to raise doubts, claiming that there were many fakes. Encounters took place during the BJP rule in the state and even innocent villagers were arrested on the charges of being Naxalites. Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress chief Deepak Baij reiterated that the government should make it clear that all 29 were Naxalites, those who died. Some villagers were also included.
