Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut's much-awaited film 'Emergency' finally has a new release date. Last month, Kangana announced the postponement of the film due to his election campaign.

The film is all set to release on September 6.

After her election victory in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, the star actress announced the release date of her next film with a new poster.

Taking to his Instagram account, he shared the film's poster and wrote in the caption, "The beginning of the 50th year of independent India's darkest chapter, heralding the #emergence of #KanganaRanaut in theaters on September 6, 2024. The explosive saga of the most controversial episode of The History of Indian Democracy, #EmergencyOnSept6 in theaters around the world.

Talking about the film, Kangana said in a statement: "I am deeply inspired by William Shakespeare's Macbeth, the essence of Emergency is the destruction that occurs when ambition is not controlled by moral restraints, it is undoubtedly the most sensational chapter of the film. Indian democracy and I am eagerly awaiting its global release on September 6, 2024."

The makers earlier took to social media, where they shared an update with fans about the film's postponement.

'Emergency', a project directed entirely by Kangana Ranaut, has a stellar cast including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair and the late Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles.

Produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, the film is set against the backdrop of one of India's most tumultuous political periods and promises to be a portrait of historic events.

With script and dialogues by Ritesh Shah and music orchestrated by Sanchit Balhara, 'Emergency' aims to enthrall audiences with its portrayal of an important chapter in India's political history.

Talking about Kangana, she registered his first victory on a BJP ticket from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. He was sworn in as a Member of Parliament on Monday, the first day of the 18th Lok Sabha. Ranaut defeated Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
