Washington, Indian-origin Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Sunday recalled her fond memories with her grandparents in India and wished National Grandparents Day to all those grandparents who are helping shape the next generation. And help to motivate.
"As a young girl visiting her grandparents in India, my grandfather would take me on morning walks, where he would discuss the importance of fighting for equality and fighting corruption. He is a retired civil Servants who were part of the movement to win India's independence,” Harris said in a post on Twitter.
"My grandmother traveled across India to talk to women about birth control," the current vice president said.
