New Delhi, Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL) on Tuesday said its board has approved a proposal to increase the limit for raising funds through issuance of NCDs to Rs 1,600 crore.

As of today, the company has outstanding non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth Rs 1,298 crore.

"The Board of Directors has, inter alia, approved the proposal to establish a limit on raising funds by issuing secured/unsecured redeemable NCDs up to Rs 1,600 crore (principal amount) outstanding at any time by the company," KPIL said in an exchange filing. "The current NCD value is Rs 1,298 crore) and the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors has authorized the same," it said.

KPIL is a diversified engineering and construction company operating in sectors such as power, oil and gas, urban mobility.
