New Delhi: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday expressed his gratitude to fans for the love he has received for "Kalki 2898 AD" and praised director Nag Ashwin's "bold mind" for transforming the Hindu epic Mahabharata for modern viewing.

The 81-year-old actor is receiving rave reviews for his role as the immortal warrior Ashwathhama in the star-studded sci-fi spectacle. Released worldwide on June 27, the film grossed over Rs 700 crore at the box office.

In a lengthy post on his personal blog, the screen icon said that he recently watched "Kalki 2898 AD" for the third time.
