New Delhi, Delhi-NCR-based Juniper Green Energy on Tuesday announced the commissioning of 25.2 MW capacity of its 70-MW wind power project.

The project has been launched approximately nine months ahead of the scheduled commercial date of operation, the company said in a statement.

It said the operation is part of the progressive rollout of the 25.2 MW project.

According to the statement, the project will deliver power at a tariff of Rs 2.90 under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA with GUVNL), in line with its efforts to provide cost-effective and environmentally responsible energy solutions.

The project is expected to generate approximately 230 MU (million units) of electricity per year, which will aid Gujarat's renewable energy efforts and reduce an estimated 2,13,055 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

This initiative will supply electricity to approximately 45,440 households, showcasing Junip Green Energy's role in promoting renewable energy adoption.
