Kolkata: Agitating junior doctors said on Monday night that they will continue their 'work strike' and protest until West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee fulfills all the promises made to them regarding their demands.

Doctors also praised Banerjee's announcement to remove Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal from the post, calling it a moral victory.

"Until the promises made by the CM are fulfilled, we will continue our work strike and protest here at 'Swasthya Bhawan' (Health Department Headquarters). We will also protest against the hearing on Tuesday in the Supreme Court regarding the RG rape. Waiting for the murder case,” said one of the agitating doctors.

The junior doctors said they will hold a meeting after the hearing on Tuesday and take a decision on their 'work strike' and protest.

The doctor was addressing the media at 'Swasthya Bhawan' after returning from Banerjee's Kalighat residence, where a meeting was held between the Chief Minister and a delegation of doctors.
