New Delhi, JSW Cement on Tuesday said it plans to invest about Rs 3,000 crore to set up a cement manufacturing facility in Rajasthan's Nagaur district.

The greenfield, integrated facility will be funded by a mix of debt and equity, the company said.

The investment in the new facility includes a clinkerization unit of up to 3.3 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) and a grinding unit of up to 2.50 MTPA, a statement from JSW Cement, part of the USD 24.25 billion JSW Group, said.

It said the new plant will also have an 18 MW waste heat recovery-based power generation system.

It said, “The proposed investment will be funded through a mix of equity and long-term debt.,

JSW Cement said the new plant is also expected to create more than 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The investment also includes about 7 kilometers of overland belt conveyor to transport limestone from the quarries to the manufacturing plant and arranging for alternative fuel for us in the kiln.

JSW Cement Managing Director Parth Jindal said this is one of the most significant investments the company is making in Rajasthan.

“The proposed investment to set up our integrated cement facility at Nagau puts JSW Cement firmly on the path to achieving a pan-India footprint within the next few years. The new capacity in the region will enable us to meet the immense needs of our customers. Will enable.Northern states Rajasthan, Haryana Punjab and NCR region,” he said.

JSW Cement, which has an annual manufacturing capacity of 19 MT, aims to achieve a capacity of 60 MTPA.

It currently has manufacturing units in Vijayanagara in Karnataka, Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh, Salboni in West Bengal, Jajpur in Odisha and Dolvi in ​​Maharashtra.

Additionally, JSW Cement operates clinker units in Odisha through its subsidiary Shiva Cement.
